Doctor Johnsen has been in private practice as a chiropractor for the past 19 years in Massachusetts, USA. He has been a long time advocate of the Prague School of manual treatment.

He has treated well over 4000 auto crash victims and has specialized in the treatment of motor vehicle crash injuries. He is a founding member of the International Whiplash Trauma Association and a past member of the Croft Forensic Academy, an organization dedicated to excellence in the evaluation and treatment of auto crash injuries.

He is also co-author of Secrets of the Top Herbs with his wife, Dr. Claudia Johnsen and conducts seminars and webinars on exercise, rehabiliation and nutrition across the world.
